The Thenmala project is spread over 10 hills in the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta and Kollam. Thenmala is the first planned eco-tourism project in the country. Thenmala has a natural window that includes gardens, hills and natural forests. Thenmala Reservoir is also used for boating. Thenmala is located at a distance of 66 km from Kollam.Thenmala Dam or Kallada-Parappar Dam is located in Thenmala in Thenmala Grama Panchayat. Thenmala is home to the first eco-tourism center in Kerala.
The place is divided into various sections and there is separate charge for each area. There is no overall entrance fee. You can choose the activities that interest you. Trekking charges are also separate.
Visiting Time: Open on all days of the week from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Only on Mondays there are no shows on the Musical Fountain.
തിരുവനന്തപുരം, പത്തനംതിട്ട, കൊല്ലം ജില്ലകളിലായി പരന്നു കിടക്കുന്ന മലനിരകളെ ബന്ധിപ്പിച്ച് 10 ഇടങ്ങളിലായാണ് തെന്മല പദ്ധതി.രാജ്യത്തെ തന്നെ ആദ്യത്തെ ആസൂത്രിത പരിസ്ഥിതി സൗഹൃദ വിനോദ സഞ്ചാര പദ്ധതിയാണ് തെന്മലയിലേത്. തോട്ടങ്ങളും, കുന്നുകളും, സ്വാഭാവിക വനങ്ങളും ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്ന പ്രകൃതി ജാലകമാണ് തെന്മലയിലേത്. തെന്മല ജലസംഭരണി ബോട്ടിംഗിനും ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.കൊല്ലത്തു നിന്നു 66 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ അകലെയാണ് തെന്മല.തെന്മല ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിലെ തെന്മലയിലാണ് തെന്മല അണക്കെട്ട് അഥവാ കല്ലട-പരപ്പാർ അണക്കെട്ട് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യ ഇക്കോ ടൂറിസം കേന്ദ്രമാണ് തെന്മലയിലുള്ളത്.
സ്ഥലത്തെ വിവിധ വിഭാഗങ്ങളായി തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു, ഓരോ പ്രദേശത്തിനും പ്രത്യേകം ചാർജുണ്ട്. മൊത്തത്തിലുള്ള പ്രവേശന ഫീസ് ഇല്ല. നിങ്ങൾക്ക് താൽപ്പര്യമുള്ള പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം. ട്രെക്കിംഗ് ചാർജുകളും പ്രത്യേകമാണ്.
സന്ദർശന സമയം: ആഴ്ചയിലെ എല്ലാ ദിവസവും രാവിലെ 9 മുതൽ തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. വൈകുന്നേരം 5 മണി വരെ തിങ്കളാഴ്ചകളിൽ മാത്രം മ്യൂസിക്കൽ ഫൗണ്ടനിൽ ഷോകൾ ഇല്ല.
