It is the most beautiful place to enjoy life for a while.Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary is ready to welcome those who travel in search of peace and happiness.Located between the Nelliampathi hills in Kerala and the Annamalai hills in Tamil Nadu, Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary was like any other wildlife sanctuary until a year ago. Suddenly, changes were visible in Parambikulam, where plastic items thrown away by tourists and tourists' vehicles going up and down the mountain were a daily sight.
The 285 square foot Parambikulam wildlife sanctuary awaits tourists even today. However, unlike in the past, systems have been put in place in such a way that the beauty of nature can be enjoyed as it is without causing any damage to the habitat of living creatures.
Now only 30 vehicles a day are allowed to enter the sanctuary. There is also a facility to spend a night in the observation towers used by the forest guards.
Sitting in these observation towers on moonlit nights and watching the animals is a delight. It is also convenient to go to the island by cutting it, which is abundant with sandalwood trees. There is also an opportunity to spend time at Kuriyakutty where famous birdwatcher Salim Ali used to live. A two-day hornet observation program has also been arranged here. Now you can travel by houseboat made of bamboo. Floating on this houseboat in clear water is a totally different experience.
Tourist information centers about Parambikulam are very helpful. These centers will give detailed information about what facilities are available in this wildlife sanctuary. The touch screen system is useful as it provides complete information about the forest and the environment.
The adivasis here are making handicrafts, honey etc. under the forest environment development project. A shop is also functioning to market these. Camps are organized for children to enjoy mountain climbing and natural beauty.Parambikulam is 100 km from Coimbatore. This wildlife sanctuary is located at a distance of 39 km from Pollachi and 98 km from Palakkad.
കേരളത്തിലെ അതിമനോഹരമായ മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥലമാണ് പറമ്പിക്കുളം. ജീവിതത്തിൽ അല്പസമയം സന്തോഷിക്കാൻ ഏറ്റവും മനോഹരമായ സ്ഥലമാണ്.മനസിന് കുളിര്‍മ്മയും സന്തോഷവും തേടി യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്നവരെ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യാന്‍ തയാറായി പറമ്പിക്കുളം വന്യജീവി സങ്കേതം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു.കേരളത്തിലെ നെല്ലിയാമ്പതി മലനിരകള്‍ക്കും തമിഴ് നാട്ടിലെ അണ്ണാമലൈ മലനിരകള്‍ക്കും ഇടയില്‍ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന പറമ്പിക്കുളം വന്യജീവി സങ്കേതത്തിന്‍റെ സ്ഥിതി ഒരു വര്‍ഷം മുന്‍പ് വരെ ഏതൊരു വന്യജീവി സങ്കേതത്തിന്‍റെയും അവസ്ഥ പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു. സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ വലിച്ചെറിയുന്ന പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്ക് സാധനങ്ങളും തലങ്ങും വിലങ്ങും മല കയറുകയും ഇറങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന സഞ്ചാരികളുടെ വാഹനങ്ങളും ഒക്കെ നിത്യകാഴ്ചയായിരുന്ന പറമ്പിക്കുളത്ത് മാ‍റ്റങ്ങള്‍ ദൃശ്യമായത് പെട്ടന്നായിരുന്നു.
285 ചതുരശ്ര അടി വിസ്ത്രീര്‍ണ്ണമുള്ള പറമ്പിക്കുളം വന്യജീവി സങ്കേതം ഇന്നും വിനോസഞ്ചാരികളെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍, മുന്‍‌കാലത്തേതില്‍ നിന്നും വ്യത്യസ്തമായി ജീവജാലങ്ങളുടെ ആവാസവ്യവസ്ഥയ്ക്ക് ഒട്ടും കോട്ടം സംഭവിക്കാതെ പ്രകൃതിയുടെ സൌന്ദര്യം അതേപടി ആസ്വദിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയും വിധത്തിലുള്ള സംവിധാനങ്ങളാണ് ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
ഇപ്പോള്‍ ദിവസം മുപ്പത് വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രമേ വന്യജീവി സങ്കേതത്തിലേക്ക് കടത്തി വിടൂ. വനപാലകര്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്ന നിരീക്ഷണ ടവറുകളിലും മറ്റും ഒരു രാത്രി ചെലവിടാനുള്ള സൌകര്യവും ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
നിലാവുള്ള രാത്രികളില്‍ ഈ നിരീക്ഷണ ടവറുകളില്‍ ഇരുന്ന് മൃഗങ്ങളെ നിരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത് നയനാനന്ദകരമാണ്. ചന്ദനമരങ്ങളാലും മറ്റും സമൃദ്ധമായ വെട്ടിക്കുന്ന് ദ്വീപിലേക്ക് പോകാനും സൌകര്യമുണ്ട്. വിഖ്യാത പക്ഷിനിരീക്ഷകന്‍ സലീം അലി താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന കുര്യാകുട്ടിയിലും സമയം ചെലവിടാന്‍ അവസരമുണ്ട്. ഇവിടെ രണ്ട് ദിവസത്തെ വേഴാമ്പല്‍ നിരീക്ഷണ പദ്ധതിയും ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇനി മുളകൊണ്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയ ഹൌസ് ബോട്ടിലൂടെ യാത്ര ചെയ്യാം. തെളിഞ്ഞ വെള്ളത്തില്‍ ഈ ഹൌസ് ബോട്ടിലൂടെ ഒഴുകി നിങ്ങുന്നത് തീര്‍ത്തും വ്യത്യസ്തമായ അനുഭവമാണ്.
